Assignment 6: My Website

We did it/ We did it/ We did it/ Horray!

For those of you who don't know what on earth ^that's^ all about, it's about time you either tuned into Nick Jr., went shopping at WalMart, or talked to a Children's/School Library Track MLIS student. Srsly, lol.

Anywho, here's the link (htttp://www.pitt.edu/~jht3/) to my Assignment 6, which wasn't nearly as painful, or as aesthetically pleasing, as I intended. Ah well, c'est la vie n'at.

I just had to say, that I laughed really hard at your reference to Dora...when I finished my website I said the same exact thing to my roommate...
I was just looking around at your webpage, and I was curious: Did you actually write the page, or use a program like Komposer to help? I tried writing the whole thing and then decided that it was way too much effort. Still, I've been trying to get an idea about how many people are more ambitious than I am.

You are crazily more ambitious than I am if you used a program. Naw, I just winged it from the weekly readings and the wonders of Notebook (which now--finally--has a reason to exist, rather than to just cower in awe at Word).

Everyone I've talked to who's been having trouble, I tell 'em to quit it with that fancy crap and get on board with the Notebook hotness. It seems to work for us at our level and with our simple purposes, at least.

Jacqui, using a program is so much easier and allows you to do so much more creative stuff with your site! Given what you do with your Blog every week, I'm sure you would love to mess around with a web writing program so that you could get more creative with your html. I wrote mine w/ Komposer, Dreamweaver, and iWeb before deciding to go with the iWeb site because it was working best with my Jing images. I really think you'll have fun using something that let's you design pages though. Try it!
